Since 1138 AD, the Arthurian Legends have been orated, written, expanded, and retold countless times through various media.
When I came across the 2004 BBC TV show, Merlin— wherein the titular character is potrayed as a an apprentice to the court physician and servant of Arthur—I was immeadiately captivated by both the stories and the acting. Interest turned to obession, and I took to the source material and other interpretations.
I then decided to create a fiction of my own inspired by the show and texts, placing Merlin within the 21st century as an apothecary owner in Carleon, Wales, awaiting the return of the Once and Future King.
